Joseph Edward Root is an international English cricketer and the new English Test Team Captain. He plays for Yorkshire domestically. He was born in the English town of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. For early education, he attended King Ecgbert School, Sheffield. Root grew up in Sheffield, in Dore. Former Yorkshire batsman and England captain Michael Vaughan influenced him.
